Cannes Film Festival is still going on, so are the dresses!
My nr. 1 favorite is Blake Lively. She knows what looks good on her and isn't affraid to show it.
This dress has everything. It is a classic dress, but the black and white contrast gives it 'power' and the way how the skirt part falls from the back is a modern twist. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
I love the loose fabric, the wind is playing with it and makes the dress nice and pretty. But the color... I'm not sure if this is a kind of purple I like. It is between purple and lilac and on one way it looks good with Jessica Chastaines skintone and haircolor. But if I look at it too much, than I get confused. But the shape is fine, but I would have liked it better with a deep purple or an other color.
Petra Nemcova looks like a real beauty in this Zuhair Murad dress. It's a big dress and it is black, maybe not my first 'go for' if I would go to Cannes. But it works! The nice shape and different textures.... Good job!
Another black dress, but this time from Liu Wen. A fitted black dress with a high split. She shows her small waist with the black shining belt and a gives her bust more shape because of the ruffle. I like her choice of accessories; a small silver bracelet and an elegant black shoe.
Eva Herzigova shows that yellow is a GO for a red carpet (I know it's black..). The loose fabric and the soft color gives me the felling of summer. The high split is a must have this season and for this dress, because now it is more than just a sweet dress. The only negative thing, the top part is to 'low', she has a lot of space between her neck and bust and the necklace doesn't solve that problem.
Wow! Another Elie Saab dress (see Jessica Chastain and Eva Herzigova) but this one is mee favorite! The color the shape of the top and the loose skirtpart. This color complements the skintone and dark hair from Sonam Kapoor. I fell in love....
And last but not least.... Christina Hendriks!
The trousers are basic, and the short length works because she is long and wears high heels. If you're short don't were shorter trouwers or jeans, they will only make them shorter. But Christina has long legs so it's fine. The top is between a colbert and a blouse and is good in so many ways;
The belt shows her waistline. The V-neckline reveals her cleavage but not all the way. The asymmetric and looser bottom of the blouse covers her stomach and Christina's hair looks even intenser with black as a contrast.
