Because The Mindy Project will begin!!!
So excited about Mindy and Danny...
So for the people who don't know where I'm talking about.
Mindy Kalling plays a really funny girl (called Mindy), who is a doctor, knows everything about movies, celebrities and fashion.
And I think it's the funniest show on tv right now!
Mindy is a beautifull curvy lady.
And she talked about her curves in the latest issue from Vogue America.
Mindy: “There’s a whole list of things I would probably change about myself. For example, I’m always trying to lose fifteen pounds. But I never need to be skinny. I don’t want to be skinny. I’m constantly in a state of self-improvement, but I don’t beat myself up over it.”
And about fashion:
“When I’m at my thinnest, I tend to wear things that don’t show off my body. But when I’m bigger, I’ll go body-con, which comes from a place of ‘This is my perimeter, in case you were wondering if I was actually much bigger.’ ”
She is just really honest about herself and her looks.
So here are two of my favorite looks of Mindy!
It's a cover-up dress, long sleeves, high neckline, but there are so many things right about this dress that it's not becoming a heavy dress.
So first off the lenght.
Above the knee, but not to short. Don't go shorter because that will make a square of the bottom part, and that will only make you bigger.
The color.
A beautifull bright and fresh color, what go's perfectly with Mindy's skin tone.
The belt.
One very important rule, show your waist! Sometimes the dress already accentuates that part of your body, otherwise belt it! Mindy's waist looks super small and makes the rest of her body curvier.
The color of the belt is a fun factor and matches very well with the blue.
The Split.
Because the dress has a high neckline and longer sleeves it could happen that it will become a boring and heavy dress. The color makes a big difference, but I think the split brings something sexy to it.
This is a great excample how to draw the atention to something else but your problem area.
The split is just a really nice extra detail that makes this dress beautifull. Oh and Mindy ofcourse!
A classic long dress.
The color.
You can never go wrong with black, that's a fact.
The waist.
Very important!!! With this dress you can see that all the fabric goes to her waistline. And than at that point falls into a drape. Look at her small waist!
V-neckline.
A V-neckline makes you smaller than a round one. With this dress she's showing her cleavige without showing it. Thats what I love about V-necklines. And it's really elegant.
